Repair bill OUUUUCCCCHHHHH !!!!

My vectra gsi 3.2 v6 kept going into limp mode eventually got it to a garage and the diagnosis was the seal on the radiator had gone leaking water into the auto box. The box isnt knackered but the garage said ill need new radiator and the box flushing and few other things never heard of etc quoted me £2740 is this bout right has anyone else had same or similar problems - feedback appreciated

this happen in my bro's omega about 6 years ago now and back then it cost him £800 to fix from a independant.

thats a common fault with them. Not sure on the cost though

Yes they did miss a decimal point. It should have been £27400!!! Even at £2740 though, it does sound very expensive. Is the car worth that sort of money being spent on it?

my friend as just has problems with piston 5 on his sl65 AMG merc have quoted him ................................ a massive £21,000 for a new engine? does that make you feel any better?

ABout the right price for a new box, not a new rad with the mod on the cooler seals and a box flush that doesn't normally work.
