    Default 51 Sri

Saw a 51 plate SRi in work yesterday, very unusual I thought, I've never ever seen one I always just assumed the C started in 02 plates.
However... according to Parker's production started from 13th March onwards...?

Doubled checked at the time for the possibility of a private reg, but totally normal as far as I'm aware, LF51 ***.

Think it was a plain Customs car though, maybe Vauxhall and other manufacturers maybe register Government fleet vehicles a bit earlier than others? Esp after a new model launch. Guess it would only need to be a fortnight earlier that 13th march to be 51 plate

Nope, SRi, front bumper, exhaust, chrome window strips, all there. Plus as a company fleet car generally unmodified anyway. It had me stumped! Wishing I'd asked the guy about it now.

Could have been one of the very first Vectra C's in the UK, maybe it was used as a press car or show car or something???

but ill put my money on it being a private reg.

If it was a plan customs car it will just be one of a variety of numberplates they use.... they tend to swap the plates every few months to stop the vehicles being recognised so easily.

my guess is it is a personalised plate as others have said, you can have any plate available as long as it doesnt make your car newer than it actually is ie. a 52 plate could change plates to LF51 FRJ if it was available
