New small car - fiesta vz Mazda 2

Following on from the thread below, the dirty deed was done and the parents have opted for a Mazda 2 – apparently it is the same or very similar shell to the fiesta - they do look very similar

They got the Mazda 2 TS2 model for £6.8k to pay while the best deal on the fiesta ztec was £9k to pay – they recon the mazda is a better spec, electric folding mirrors as standard.

They are please as punch

Same platform. So in essence the same car. Like Vectra-c and Saab 9-3.

As was the Mazda 121, 2 versions back, which was same as corresponding Fiesta at the time, and was built at Ford in Dagenham and also cheaper than the Fiesta but with fewer trim options.
