    Default door handel problem

    was fitting my chrome handles when something give and a piece of ,metal broke inside, of course it has to be the driver side one, i can get a spare door mechanism from scrappy will it be harder to fit with all the wires from the electric windows has anybody fitted the handle and mechanism.

    i can fit the handle the prob is with the inside i have to fit the whole handle door card off and then i dont know what i am up against i have to get it on to the linkage, has anybody done this. drivers side.

    its just the part that the door handle attaches to , the one that you unscrew the torx screw, when removing the handle, i have done it before on the rear door, its just i dont know how difficult it would be on the drivers side with the extra wires for the electric windows.

    its not a problem theres a how2 for that too also one for change the doorlock.

    You don't go near any of that m8. It's the same as the others just the lock requires swaping over that's all. I thought you were stuck with something broken hth ..............

    i have broken something need the whole door handle mechanism replacing job for the steelers i think
