    Default VX 2003 2.0DTi Juddering

At around 1700 revs the you can feel the car start to judder, ever so slightly, but I can notice it. Acceleration is fine. Its just when I at 1700 - 2000 revs.
    Any ideas ???

    All the time?

My old one used to do this from time to time...a bit like a flat spot? I just put up with it.

    Possible engine mount gone soft/split.

Try to be sure whether its engine or not though, my old Omega had an issue when I hit 25mph, it felt like an unbalanced wheel, but it wasn't, I still dont know what it was exactly, but I didn't want to spend spend spend finding it, the fact it was second hand when I bought it meant I had no idea of what had been done to the car before I had it, the things I suspected were wheel bearing/suspension parts, but the guy who inspects the car for the council would have found anything amiss there, so I then began to suspect an unbalanced prop, gearbox or crankshaft, or once again it could have been a mount.

my astra coupe turbo does this on cheap petrol under light acceleration, give the throttle a bit more and its fine. I put SUL in it now no probs. Perhaps if you try a different brand of diesel it may help - pretty cheap to try too (you'll use the diesel if you see what I mean)

As in the other thread, avoid cheap supermarket diesel. Mine does it on Tesco diesel, but not on biodiesel or on Texaco standard diesel.

Latest update. I've always used either BP or Esso for fuel and I've had the front tyres checked and theres nowt wrong there. Is there anything I as a layman can check ???

    Many thanks for your assistance

try the acetone treatment worked on my 2.2dti and gave me a pleasureable boost !

you will need to treat it to a K&N panel filter as well, and remove the insert shown in the "How To" pages.
