    Default 3 year service!!!!

I bought my 06 1.8 Sri back in january with 25k on the clock. When I bought it there said it had only had one service by them. But not 100% sure what there changed, if anything. So it had missed its 1st & 2nd year services.

Now it is ready for it 3rd year service, what should I look at doing?

I will be doing it myself, as since it has already miss some services I dont mind not having the history & I dont plan on selling it for a long time.

    Thanks

    Ade

    Vehicle : Jaguar XF 3.0D V6

    Trim : Black

    Engine : 3.0D V6

    Year : 0000

Just cos there is no record, doesn't mean it wasn't done.
Also, at 25K and 3 years, it may have only needed one service so far....

Its say every year or 25k, so at 3 years it should have had 3 services. But in any case, what is needed for a 3 year or 3rd service? Also what should of been done ina 1st & 2nd service.

I just what to do it myself to make sure it has ben done.

    put decent oil in.
    oil filter.
    air filter.
    pollen filter.
    clean inlet with carb cleaner.
just a visual inspection of belts/tyres/brakes.

only my opinion, and what i did on mine. 110k fvsh.

If the car was serviced by VX dealerships then you can request VX check the data
    It can take some time
I did this on my car, service book showed as no services (it wasn't due any), but came back that one had indeed been carried out!

I do hope you haggled a good discount for a car which had not been serviced correctly
I suggest you discuss clawback with VX
This is where you over service the car and get it back within specification which revalidates the warranty

I would suggest going for the 2 year / 40K mile service NOW
The 1 year service is nothing more than an oil and filter change, with a visual check of the wheels and brakes
The 2 year service adds air, pollen, and fuel filter, the wheels should also be removed, and the brakes given a manual inspection

I would then suggest going for the 1 year / 20K miles service in a further 6 months / 10K miles, and then another 2 year / 40K miles service 6 months after that
That way you know for certain the car has had three services in 4 years, and is then back in synchronisation with the service schedule
