Default Another thumbs up for Bathers on the Wirral

I've been using these guys since I was recommended them not longer after I joined here. They really do look after the wheels and they seem to be able to balance the Vecs. perfectly when other places I tried failed.

Anyway a couple of months ago they changed a rear tyre. It wasn't a cheap one as I stuck to the Bridgestone Potenzas that came with the car. The problem was they fitted the wrong rating of tyre. A W rated one instead of a Y.

I never noticed until yesterday when I was about to take it off to clean the inside of the wheel.

I phoned them up and they checked their third party supplied database. That showed that my car should have had the W rated tyre as fitted. Instead of fobbing me off with that the guy then phoned Bridgestone and they told him it indeed should have been a Y rated one.

So no drama, he just said, "Oops we'll have that one back off you then please."

So brand new one is now on the car. The other one had done a couple of thousand miles and he could have charged me extra for the new tyre (£13.50 difference) but they waived that too.

OK they made a mistake initially but even though I had no receipt for the original tyre they immediatly put it right.

They are really good mate. I tried three different places to get my old Vec. balanced but they did it first go. No vibration at all after that.

    excellent stuff

But it does say alot about this countrys general customer service levels, especially in the auto trade where good service is news-worthy!
