Jingle Jangle Broken Spring

Oh well it was only a matter of time before I had the common problem of a broken rear spring. It is the second time I have had this on a Vectra. All started yesterday when going over the nice speed bumps or cushions as our council like to call them (nothing like cushions to me) I heard a jangeling sound a bit like Jimmy Savilles jewlery and on further inspection when home found the first little coils of my spring hanging onto the spring itself.It has seated back into the cup perfect as well.Rang vauxhall for a price and they want £142 + vat just for the 2 rear ones so rang LMF and got a full set of 4 Eibach sports ones for £162. looking at the reviews on theses it should alter the handling of my car and lower it by about 10m all round so should be sweet.Will get them on this week as soon as they come as off all week and put something on about the difference

Not good but pleased to hear no other damage ie tyre, hope the change over goes well will be interested to hear how it feels with the new setup ........
