Black but I would say that , its £220 for six months tax and I get around 25mpg. My insurance is £500 with it remapped and lowered, and you would pay around 14k+ for a 2008.

I'm a fan of the black and silver VXR's... The inside, seats, xenons, etc are all standard I believe, only real extra's I think you can get are the CD70, bluetooth etc... But I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong LOL

options are cd70 navi, bluetooth, afl and full leather. Few come fully loaded, full leather is rare, but half leather (std) is nicer imo. £400 a year tax, 29/30mpg, similar insurance as above.
Do your homework prior to taking it in for any work/servicing as vaux tend not to have much of a clue about their own car...

Oh, and i like silver as its a bit of a sleeper
Red and blue are too in your face, black is nice, but a pain to keep clean. The new silver is sex

Insurance? £440 F/C 29 years old with 6 year NCD
What spec to these come in? See Styles997's post.
Oh and for a 08 plate what kind of cash are we talking? As above £14+

Not of them will cost you £400 tax,

Mines a older 255 model with a remap (which produces the same power/torque as a mapped 280) and I pay £210 for 12 months :P

    One of the lucky few.

If you go for 19's watch out for cracking. Other than that

Not alot to report on the VXR, they are a good reliable car.

    Factory options Were :-

Leather Pack - Leather Seat facings, heated seats and electric adjustment
    Electric Sunroof
    Front & Park Assit
AFL Zenons (Normal Zenons are standard)
    CD70 Navi
    Climate Control
    19" Alloys
    Bluetooth
    Roof Rails (Estate)
    Power Tailgate (Estate)
    Towing pack (Estate)

    2005 to mid 2006 were 255PS models
    Mid 2006 > 280PS

Car's registered before I believe March 23rd 2006 are not in the £400 a year bracket, just £210/£215.

    Standard Kit

    Front & Rear Electric Windows
CDC40 Multiplay CD with Premium Sound Speaker System and amps (CD70 has normal speakers and amp)
    Sport Button
    Switchable TC
    Stepper Motor on dials
    Half Leather
    Zenon Healights
CDC (Continous Damping Control) with dual processor.

    I think thats about it.

The 280PS models had a modified air box, but this an easy conversion on the 255PS models, I did read somewhere that the cylinder heads on the 280PS models were modified to suit the higher power but I never had this confirmed.

    Tuning

300BHP is achievabvle on both the 255PS and 280PS models with just a re-map, 340bhp is achievable with the hybrid turbo and stage 2 map, the VXR PC have done this.

The standard VXR exhaust system is made by Remus and is good for 350bhp before it needs to be changed.

Not alot else to say about it.
