    Thumbs up Repair Mod

Not a pretty sight but functional. Whilst attempting to search for the missing connection for a rear interior mirror this mod was achieved.

To day I had a go at a repair.
I released the rear headlining together with the nearside rear grab handle & quarter light trim plug.

Very, very carefully I teased the loom away from the headlining to give me access to the defective part of the loom. I had experimented with the ‘spare’ part of the ribbon to make a solder joint.

The picture shows how it looked once finished. Not very pretty I know. I checked to see if the fault was still there & it was. Undeterred I retested my connections made safe & refitted the headlining along with all the rest of the trim. Disconnected the battery packed all the kit away had a cup of tea, reset the radio code switched on the ignition fault gone.
    Am I a Happy Chappy .............. you bet I am ...... ......
