I'm sure I've seen lorries or buses with this.
IMO, not legal. See section 13 of http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si1989/Uks...howsteadylight
Don't some cars have this fitted as standard so that under harsh braking the brake lights flash? TBH the mini in that video just looks faulty.
i believe the vec's and signum's do it as standard under harsh breaking. Sure spoons did this when tested.
There are several versions of Adaptive Brake Light, to be legal it needs to be integrated with the ABS
The Vectra C has either :
A
Full red rear brake light illumination (increasing from standard 3 brake to 5 full lamps)
or
B
Flashing red rear light illumination (3 rear brake lamps flash until brake pedal released)
Its a rapid flash i believe, i seen a vectra lock up before on a slip road and it was rapid flashing of the brakes lights which must get triggered by the ABS kicking in.
Fiat 500 Abarth on Top gear test track. Hazards flash under harsh braking.
