    Default 2 day detail

Finally got round to a good detail on the Vectra. Still didn't get round to doing the arches the whole alloys extra but here goes:

    Day 1
    - Alloys cleaned with Berry Cherry alloy cleaner and agitated
    - Front of car sprayed with Poorboys Bug Squash and agitated
    - Snowfoamed whole car and agitated
    - Rinsed off
    - Washed with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss
    - Rinsed off and dried with waffle drying towel
    - All paintwork polished with Chemical Guys All in One Polish using a rotary polisher with a compound pad.
    - Whole car waxed with FK1000P

    Day 2
    - Windows cleaned with Chemical Guys Window Cleaner
    - Plastics etc... cleaned with AutoGlym Bumper Care
    - Tyres dressed with Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel
    - Alloys waxed with RimWax
    - Chrome tailpipes polished with Megs NXT metal polish

I had trouble with the polishing because I couldn't identify the swirl marks because the sun wasn't out so i'm going to have to get a decent light to find them. Only got chance to go round with the compound pad, I would have liked to go round with the polishing pad to get rid of the holograms that I can now see grrrr, next time

    Anyway, enjoy...comments welcome

    My weapons:

After a wash and little prep to try the polishing:

    Before polishing:

    After about 2-3 passes:

Some general shots while polishing (as i remembered):

All polished up and sealant applied (Also spoiler popped on with some TigerSeal):

Day 2 all finished off etc...

    Thanks for looking

    Thats an awesome job done!!

I saw a saab 900 ragtop, in black out at a show today, chuffing thing was bad with horrid swirls & i doubt he used a micrfibre near it.
Even my 25 yo Astra put it to shame!!
