the 3.0 will tune to 212bhp using a PBox (when I have confirmed how to wire the thing in!) mines very smooth through the power, cant wait to try the PBox out though

    Owned a 2.0 and a 2.2 before, prefer the 3.0

The way to go is with a common rail ie CDTI engine either 3.0 or1.9 much easier to tune because it uses more electronics for fueling more engine chips are available so they are cheaper as a result !!!!!! hth

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

As you've owned a GSI Veccy B, I would go for the V6 CDTi and get a Tuning Box of some sort. How does 220bhp sound mate and 40mpg.

But if you want even more economy go for the 1.9 CDTi (150), while still getting very respectable performance.

But if you want top performance go for the 3.2 GSI, but make sure you're always near a garage. LOL

best bet for the 2.2 dti is VX they do an irmscher performance kit for the Y22DTR dont know on price as havnt got the bottle to ask them but the part number is i8506002 there is also one for the 3.0 cdti part number i3406008 benefits of these a self explantory really but main one being theye dont invalidate any warranty left on car

    Back in a V6 !!!!!!!!!!!! And lovin it !!!

    Talking

another option is the PBox - PBox is an Austrian made tuning box of tricks and they will take on the remainder of the manufactures warranty - not the cheapest on the market but I certainly like mine
See my thread "PBox Install" under Tuning
