Default VXR Diamond cut Alloy Wheel paint

    Hi guys,

I just wasted 2 hours of my life trying to repair a lightly scuffed alloy wheel! i didnt want to get it refurbed as it wasnt curbed, the alloy fell flat on the floor when i took it off to paint the calipers!!

i bought this kit off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alloy-Wheel-Ri...3A1%7C294%3A50

    and i bought this ******* paint.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Alloy-Wheel-Ri...3A1%7C294%3A50

Let me tell ya, the primer on the kit was total garbage.. it was like dry, struggled to spread it... but anyway to get round that i had to apply in stages and sand alot more..

Next comes the paint.. OMGGGGG vauxhall paint my ***, the paint is total bag of *****!!!!!!

it looks odd in colour, but worst still it has an applicator with it, which does the complete opposite of touchin up the alloy, i could probably get a better result using a toothbrush lol

anyway i desperatly need a can of alloy paint.. to match 19" VXR alloys diamond cut, i think i need star silver 2.. but someone suggest otherwise? and where can i get it from, i know halfords dont do it. plz help fellow forum members as am losing my head since ive wasted a precious bank holiday weekend on this !!!

The front faces are cut on a diamond tipped lathe, then the inside is painted anthracite...then laquered. it is impossible to repeat it as the machines around £20k

    Thanks for the replies!

Thing is all i need to do is touch up.. so as long as its similar paint im not bothered that much, its a very small fraction of the alloy... so any idea what the paint code would be? the face of the alloy and the inside look the same to me.. so in theory painting it that colour would do the trick?
