Default fh-80bt + steering controls not working + display

Ok not long had my fh-80bt.

Removed it this morning to secure the cage better, when i come to set it back up. The ****** steering controls will not work. I have followed the instructions several times to no avail.

I have checked all the cables for damage. Anyone else had this problem?

    Using cables PC99-X45 & PC99-PIO.

On a better note. I asked a while ago about how to make the time and date stay on screen when using an aftermarket stereo. Answer is to cut the red & white wire behind the display. I have one of the big displays. So dont know if this works for all.

No i dont believe the solution for time and date has caused the problem with the steering controls.

mine came with a leaflet, said plug the 12 pio 12 pin in first, followed by the vehicle specific interface. then connect the iso's as normal and like you said.

But the Piece of pper actually says PC99-SON on the top. they have crossed all the SON's of and written pio next to it

tried the above about 8-9 times. Completely removed everything, reinstalled it all from scratch. There is nothin wrong with the rest of the stereo, its quite strange.
