    Any other options for this? as I don't fancy trying to fit a wire in the fuse box, remember all this is new to me and I don't want to cause any trouble with my electrics lol

    That is absolutely the easiest way to do it. You can't break anything but you will if you try splicing into CAN wiring

    The canbus network might not be too happy about that, nor the bulb warning failure system.
