Angry DMF Gone again - Not Happy!

My car went in for a new clutch last Monday, had it back Tuesday and now its gone again!!

We went to Alton towers on the wednesday and while in the services i noticed the noise again.

Surely it cant go again after 200 miles??

Its going back in Wednesday so hopefully get it sorted this time.

    Any ideas?

    Dean

My educated guess would say the cause is your remap, might be an idea to take it off

Ano how dare i suggest such a thing lol, a remap producing lots more torque through a DMF which is already known to be held together like chewing gum. If it was my car i know what i would do BUT if your cars under warranty and its not coming out your pocket theres no harm done.

The thing you need to think about is, when you take it back in they might start looking into the reason its bust another one. We dont want them to knock back a warranty claim It would cost you a fortune to pay for that work yourself.

Yes re-maps produce more torque, but even with a re-map, a noisy flywheel at 200 miles will NOT be caused by a re-map.

Mine is on it's 3rd flywheel in 3 months and it's not mapped or boxed. It is also never driven hard.

The one i had fitted just 400 miles ago is making a noise again, I have a stronge feeling that Vauxhall's supplier has made a big batch of flywheels that are not up to the job. Thats my theory and the only evidence I have to back it up is 3 in 3 months.
