    Default Damaged goods from eBay

The lexy lights I bought on fleabay have arrived, damaged i'm afraid to say the seller was upfront about one small crack which is why they were cheap, but it looks like they have been damaged in transit, big crack in the top which makes them totally useless, not repairable.

There was no postage insurance on the sale, so where do I stand now?

I've a feeling i'll just have to chalk this one up to experience

Were they sent by Recorded Delivery even, or standard 1st/2nd Class?

I'd inform the seller BTW, let them know. If they haven't packaged them sufficiently, bearing in mind the contents, then part/all of the blame lies with them.

If they were packaged sufficiently, and it's some Royal Maul (yes that is spelt correctly!! ) gorilla that's damaged them then all you can do is approach them - even it it wasn't sent by Recorded Delivery.

The packaging seems adequate, several layers of bubble wrap and in a sturdy box with no room for them to move about in much.

Ah, in that case they normally have a level of insurance built in. It's not much, you'd need to check.

Were they packaged sufficiently in your opinion? Good time to be taking some photos with that new camera of yours!

Just seen your reply - in that case I think a phone call to BusinessPost asking about compensation!

I shall send the seller an email and looks like i'll have to contact the courier via the net as well. I think the seller packed them well enough, but you know what these couriers can be like...
