    Default 30 cdti or 3.2 v6??

    Hi all, newbie here
    thinking of buying one of the two! probably in Signum flavour
    When im looking over the next few days what are the things i should be looking for? are they reliable? at what mileage should the cambelts be done on diesel and petrol?

    just picked up a 3.0 v6 cdti sri face lift,
    definately the choice of choices......

    Id go for the 3.2 v6 but i would say that and in the vectra also
    Cambelts 4-5 old or 40,000 plus miles for the cambelt ...

    Both are reliable. 3.2 V6 wins hand down on everything except fuel consumption. Or as Soulman said, don't discount a 2.0T.

    2 very different engines mate as one is guzzly high powered v6 petrol and one is guzzly high powered diesel lol id go for diesel option as it can be remapped (if required) too be more powerful and more torquey than 3.2 v6 and is a good bit more economical too

    Get yourself a 3.0CDTi. Cambelts need to be done at 150.000km / 90.000mi or 10 year as per handbook. These engines are economical and fairly reliable, but if they do eventually pack up it'll cost you a fortune.
    So if fuel economy is not an issue for you go for the 3.2 V6.

    It used to be 60K. Now 'those in the know' recommend as early as 40K.
