Thread: help with photoshop workings???

    Default help with photoshop workings???

    i have just uploaded photoshop onto the computer and done the basics package, but i cant select an area and enlarge it. by this i mean i cant select my wheels and enlarge them from the aprox size a 16inch wheel to the approx size of say 18/19inch wheel.does anyone know if this is possible to do and if so how???

    It is possible but you cant just select them and make them bigger, you have to make a new layer by using the marquee tool to "draw around" them. Right click "new layer by copy".Then select the new layer in the layers pane on the right, then select edit at the top left and select free transform and use the box to "stretch" the wheels to a bigger size.

    Probably not the best explanation, you are best looking for a video tutorial as it's hard to explain without showing you how to do it at the same time!!

    depends on what version you have m8, I use cs4 and use the quick selection tool to highlight the area then Image>transform>scale then drag to the size you want

    as said youtube has lots of tutorials on there for this sort of thing m8

    cheers, i got it now. will post up some pics some when ive finnishd the photoshop session that im doing.
