    Default throttle body cleaned and airbox mod done

    right know it has stopped raining i went and done the airbox mod easy job that i might even smooth the airbox as we use to do this on the golf 1.8 turbos that was my last car.

    so while i was at it i thought mat aswell do the tb clean and what i used to clean it with got some pics here of before and after.

    Did that to my 2.2 non-direct a short while ago, although the idle was 100% better at the time , that has now returned back to it's usual rubbish (guess the ecu has re-learned again!!) however the power delivery is still good with hardly any hesitancy apart the usual when engine is cold as it were. I notice the throttle body on the 2.2 direct is somewhat different to the non-direct, fo some reason I thought they were the same on both variants?

    i wouldnt know m8 as i am new to the vx seen i done it to the golf and it did make diff on the idle and response but that was it.
