Mine was a right pig to fit!

Had to saw off about 2 inches from the gear lever purely because, reverse gear was going straight in without lifting the lever as the knob was sitting too high. This was because the plastic piece which is part of the gear lever and part of the reverse lever you lift up was missing the cage. It was a case of trial and error and had to keep sawing a piece off at a time until the knob sat low enough.

You'll also need some kind of adhesive to fix the knob in place, some kind of bondo or something. This was another trial and error as the knob kept coming loose after a short time. This was because of an air pocket building up inside the knob. My solution to this and it's been solid for months now, is to remove the badge and you should see an imprint of a circle. Put a drill through of slightly smaller diameter. This then lets the air out when you put the knob on.

    Hope this helps chap.

    Paul.

I really don't see why people feel the need to fit this sort of thing.
It ain't going to turn the car into an Astra VXR, so why do it? Makes no sense to me at all.
