    Default Aerial Advice

    All,

Advice and recommendations required for an aerial fitting to my C. I am leaving the current one as it is but wanting to install a second one to run freeview box and aftermarket radio. The current aerial is poor with my aftermarket head unit.

Has anyone fitted an aftermarket aerial, i would prefer a descreet one that sticks to the windscreen.

    As always any advice appreciated,

    Paul.

No advice I'm afraid Paul, but all I wanted to say was.... a Freeview box in your car!!! Blo**dy hell - can't wait to see that!! LOL

Won't you need an aerial that can receive TV signals, and aren't they normally of the large variety? The ones you see on mobile homes spring to mind?

Can't you turn the rear window into an aerial. It sounds wierd doesn't it, but my Veccy B saloon had this feature, not sure if it'd provide a good enough signal for Freeview though.

I had to upgrade the aerial on my house to get freeview, so I'm guessing it would have to be a bl00dy good aerial on a car.

I take it you've seen this on someone's car then Paul?

you can buy a multitude of different aerials for tv's ( 12v) but i wouldn't say ive seen a small one dude .... bigger the better but if you get a small one ... just buy a booster aswell ????

or ..... a boomarang ... like on the stretched limos .. ohh and get a swimming pool while your at it LOL

stretch the veccy ???? i'd like too see that

Am i going too far again ???

Would prefer a window aerial. Right this is the set up, i have a mobile freeview unit which i have wired in to my dvd unit. All working fine with the supplied aerial but it looks a tw4t! It is a magnetic job that sticks on the roof with the wire trailed all over. My tuner on my dvd unit has never had great reception, so what i am after is a new descreet aerial that i can run two coax's off, one for the dvd unit and one for the freeview box. The boxes are available here. Can't tap in to the Vectra aerial because it's so ****** flimsy i can't get a joint on it.
