Engine Plastics Painted

As well as Fitting my Travel Assistant today I decided to do a bit of painting.

Parts removed for painting were Engine cover, battery cover, fuse box cover and air filter top cover.

All parts wiped over with gunwash thinners to remove polish and silicone traces.


Masked over bits I didn't want painted.


All parts coated in white plastic primer. I used halfrauds own make as it's good and I've used it before.


Then all parts coated with Plasti-kote super enamel bright red.

Sorry forgot to take a pic before re-fitting as I had to bring all the bits in as it was about to rain.

The finished article.





Paint looks a bit orangey here but it is a nice bright red.

Not everyones cup of tea but I like it.

Nice one Robbie, it certainly brightened things up. Cool.

I might use luminous paint, save using a light in the dark lol.
