Default ExhaustsUK - Sheffield VXR Tailpipes

    Hi,

I'm sure I saw a thread here sometime when someone bought a catback system from ExhaustsUK in Sheffield but I can't find the link!

Has anybody bought the VXR style pipes and had it fitted by them and how much was it?

I've been quoted £450 and that doesn't include them providing me the VXR valance and I would have to pay extra for that and get it colour coded!

I'm sure I read someone paid £400 or something and it included the VXR valance bit?

sounds a bit steep to me mate...hugh iirc had his system done by them on his old signum, work was good but about £350.00....
    vxr diffuser is about £40.00 from the dealer's + paint = about £90 - £100 all in

full cat back system from powerflow down here is about £350 inc tail pipes

It wasn't me but I do know that it is NOT a cat back system!! It is from the Y piece back, so basically just back boxes with the VXR insert. I know as I enquired about it myself.

I ended up with a VXR style catback system from Powerflow for £350 which didn't include the VXR insert but they are only £28 +VAt from the stealers so all in for under £400 excluding painting!!

Thanks for all the replies guys but what's the difference between cat back and y piece back?

I assume cat back is better and does it include more parts or give better performance?

I looked at the PowerFlow catalogue but it didn't seem to have a VXR style back box?

    Thanks!

Here's the link to buy it from ebay.........

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-VECTR...3%3A4|294%3A50

I think he had it fitted before fitting the vxr diffuser and he went back to them to alter the fitment, which didn't cost him anymore, but as others have said its only the "y" piece and talipipes,hth............

I fit an original VXR system from the CAT back on mine with GM style VXR tips. Not sure if you're referring to mine I got it off eBay and fit it with the help of a mate.
