Air Filter

Hi all, I am thinking about putting a K&N Panel air filter onto my 1.8 vec-c. Just wanted to know peoples point of view on these, (if they really work), cheers.

I've just put one on my v5 golf , it's alot crisper and a bit more responsive , the mrs even thinks it sounds better.
It does use a bit more fuel than the standard though .

mine works well in my vec coupled up with the air box mod and vxr air intake pipe, better throttle response

fitted and eliminated lower speeds stutter - smoother throttle response and feels smoother to drive

and potentially the last filter you will buy so doing your bit for the enviroment

*think* you just have to carefull when cleaning them, using the oil as it could damage MAF sensor ?

I didn't think it made much difference. Can't really do anything to improve the performance. Just had mine serviced, had a paper one put back on and noticed no difference. Save yourself £40.
If you want a faster car, buy a faster car. Octavia VRS TDi 170, here I come???? :-)
