    Default Trip Computer

    Anybody tried this.
I was on my way to the welsh meet, whilst on the M5 I reset the average mpg as I was going along, the computer then started to recalculate the average, I was fascinated to watch the numbers going up, it eventually stopped at 49.9 mpg. I thought I must take a photo of that, as no one will belive me, as you would not get that out of a 3.2........... Then the figures started to go down, it then came to rest at the correct average of 32.9 mpg and there it stayed some times going up to 33mpg. I made me smile as in reality I would not see 49.9mpg, only in my dreams

The 49 is instant once you have reset, also you are then getting a figure that is gained on a warn engine already in top gear, as you saw yourself it dropped back to 32 once it had had time to recalculate

LOL @ the Nutron figures jibe.

    Ha Ha @ Nutron figures

32.9 is good from a V6 Ed. My mate has an MV6 Omega and gets 33mpg driving gently to work (120 mile trip).

I know the figures I saw were not a true figure, but as I say I found it amusing at the time the computer was calculating the average which setled at 32 mpg. it would be nice to get 49mpg though............ out of a 3.2. engine
