Cracked Sat Nav Screen - how much??

I've got a 56 plate Vectra Sri with Sat Nav which is in for some work at the dealership. There's a crack in the sat nav screen - started as what looked like a small scratch and has grown and grown, and then the liquid crystal stuff [non-technical word] has started to leak across the screen obscuring the information.

Anyway, Vx want almost 1200 pounds to replace it?!?!?!?! Surely just another screen can be fitted, as the sat nav / radio works properly. Is this figure right, or is someone having me on here?

That sounds about right mate unless you can find some one to replace the screen it self,You dont see many 2nd hand screens as most sell the CD70 + CID together

I would budget on £400-£500 for a CD70 and CID. You could then get your radio decoded and sell it on Ebay.

thanks for the help guys - i'll check out that screen [even though it's in Osaka at the moment!] and try and find an alternative way of fixing this.

I was looking at a c70 and CID on ebay the other day it went for £520, to me thats scary money.

If you can get another screen form somewhere, then let me know and i can replace the screen in the module for you. It won't need TecH2 etc etc as i'll replace the LCD only. PM me if you can do this.
