Default Male para to female cop

No doubt most people here have heard of this guy ... ... She has now joined the police, Her 1st station will be in Glasgow's Maryhill, a very rough place of Glasgow ... She must be one tough woman, what a brave person to do what she has done. ..... Heres the view of a Maryhill guy.

Well.... atleast she's not a paedophile, hiding a little secret away behind closed doors where nobody ever knows.

Yet a paedophile would have no problem at all getting a job or walking down the street past a primary school unnoticed and un-challenged.

People like her however can't get job's, can't walk down the street without verbal abuse, can't do most of things that the rest of us take for granted without getting into a heap of trouble...
Like using public toilets? use the womens and get into trouble, use the mens and get the crap beaten out of you.
All for what? being different and not afraid to show it?

It takes some guts to be different to the apparent "normal", we really haven't come far from the day's of burning apparent witches at the stake have we?

I say fair play and good luck!!

Why can't people just be happy with their lot in life? If you're a man, be a man. If you're a woman, be a woman. It's not difficult... This whole 'I'm a man trapped in a woman's body' or vice-versa has never washed with me - and if you're going to go through the whole procedure and change why go around shouting about it? it's jsut attention seeking, it really is...

Not entirely, it's actually genetics. But that's a complex subject and one that has many theories floating around.

The point is, nobody in there right mind would put themselves through the ridicule, abuse and pain if they didn't truly believe they needed to.
    Just to mention a few:
Loss of family and friends (disowned)
Loss of Job, leading to loss of house
    Inability to form relationships
    Abuse in public
    Denial of service in shops/resturants/etc
Pain associated with hair removal, look up "electrolysis" the art of inserting blunt needles into hair follicles followed by an electric shock.
I won't even mention the various operations.

It's only the media that run around putting this under everyone's nose's. The weirdo's you see on telly are not representative at all of transpeople in general, most are quiet, intelligent and keep themselves to themselves.

In this case, I'm betting the Police force are the one's who called in the media as a bit of a PR campaign and to kill any rumours before they started. They want to disprove the accusations of discrimination that have dogged the force for many, many years.

Im not a one man, LGBT campaigner, but I do firmly believe in equality and a "live and let live" philosophy.
I've taken the time to get to know these people and I think everyone else should too. It's about time people stopped believing all the media fed stereotypical rubbish, not just about this, but about thousands of other things as well.

There are murderers, paedophiles, rapists and god knows what else could be lurking next door or down the street, I prefer to worry about what I can't see than what I can.
