    Default Help with boiler required..

when we run the hot water tap the boiler does'nt always fire up to supply hot water, (this has just started happening) if we turn on the heating then we turn on the hot tap the water runs hot, heating on its own is not a problem.

Boiler is a 10 year old Vokera maxin 28 combi..

    Anybody got any ideas.

My boiler had the same problem ans it was a small rubber diaphragm that was perished. I think it cost me £20ish for the new one and I changed it myself. See if you can find the installation manual online as mine had a fault finding section and I used it to diagnose the problem.

hi had same problem. replaced dhw diaphram cost about a fiver. If you change it yourself make sure you remove all traces of old diaphram and put some SILICONE grease onto the rod that actuates the micro switch. You wil need to turn off cold water supply to boiler and open the lowest cold tap to drain it. Hope this helps
