safe on cd player

how to i get my cd plyer to work again disconnected battey then it is saying safe on the lcd it a tape deck with cd changer aswell all in the same unit

you need to put your radio code in if it is an older model.

Sounds like the ccr2006, you'll need the code. It should be on a card with the handbooks

Turn car off

Press and hold AS button whilst turning car to 3rd click

It will beep

then entre the code

only using digits 1-4

if the code is 1 2 6 9

You press 1 till 1 apears
you press 2 till that apears
and 3 till thats the same (6 times)
And 4 (9 times)

When all 4 digits are in press and hold AS again till it beeps it will then auto tune

That doesn't sound right.

The correct procedure is:-

Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Turn Off Stereo again (if it comes on with the ignition)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and Switch Radio On - Display Shows " SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps
