    Default CDTi 150 Swirl valve thing !?!?

    Question....

    I know its a problem and a big one but what exactly is it, where is it and what does it do ???

    Good question there pal it also keeps me awake at night, also so does the egv thing, inlet manifolds, springs, handbrakes, and recently the plastercine alloy locking nut key !!!

    lol good answers !! I know what you mean about the lock nut keys !!

    The wheel braces are plasticine too, mine bent on a stubborn nut the other day !!
    I know I was laying into it with my foot, but even so !!

    yeah my little girl rapps our wheel brace round her wrist and uses it as a braclet !!

    ref to your locking wheel nut key, you should not have a problem if you do not let anyone overtighten your bolts!!, ie tyre fitters or workshops, do them your self or insist they do not use air tools to tighten them, 110nm is roughly the correct amount, i always use a torque wrench to this spec and have no prob from new to date 5 yrs on??

    Yeah trouble is ive only had the car 5 weeks and no ones had the wheels off its the past owner/garage thats let some garage monkey overtighten em !!

    If you take the engine cover off, and look down behind the fuel rail you will see it - either sitting there doing nothing or it will be fixed to the links like it should.
