Power steering problems !!

Hello all !!

Have changed the head gasket, etc with new cylinder head on my 2.2 petrol...

To my suprise it fired first time and sounds so sweet !!

I filled the power steering pump up, but it makes a nasty noise and is very lumpy when steered. Ive tried bleeding it like my haynes manual says but it just turns the fluid into bubbles and pups out of the breather on the lid ??? Any ideas ????

did yo uuse green stuff which is called CHF, central hydrualic fluid

If im honest, I used the old stuff I drained out lol

Think this has anything to do with it ??

think there something about turning it from side to side until it expels all the bubbles?

Yeah, ive turned it side to side loads and its the same but now keeps throwing the toys out the pram !

Sprayed fluid all over my fresh clean engine bay !

the CHF is thinner than the old red stuff, so i recon thats the problem, just hope you havent damaged the pump or rack

Oh dear lol I didnt realise the forum blanked out swear words automatically !!
What i meant was """(shifts)""" - As in working shifts so no time to finish car!!!!!!!!!!!
