    Default autolocking problem

    hi
i did the auto locking mod some time ago and it worked a treat until i dropped the hammer on my key, which then broke the buttons, i have tried the mod with my spare key but it does not work.
i then put the original key in the ignition and drove away, it auto locked. so the auto lock must be linked to the key but i need to deactivate the key that is bust so i can activate the spare to auto lock,
    any ideas?

nope it does not work i have tried with the spare key to do the mod, it works the car ok but not the auto lock, it even makes the faint beep but no joy.
the only way i see it i need to try and deactivate the broken key so its back to normal then use the spare to auto lock

it is true that it is programmed into the key, but you can program each key

try again with the spare key without the first one being around

Try switching off the autolocking with the spare key, then re-activating it.
