    Default New fan belt

    What should i expect to pay for a new fan belt (fitted) for a 2.0 dti with aircon? thanx

    The belt is about £20 plus VAT. VX would probably charge £100 to do it. A decent garage should do it for about £40. I paid £150 for belt and new crankshaft pulley fitted. It not a hard job to do yourself.

    go to a local motor factors m8, it should be about £12 and you can do this at home if you have a 15 or 17 mm spanner

    thanx that is much less than i thought. Someone had told ne it was a bit of a job, that you had to remove the wheel arch to get access to it.

    It is an easy enough job to do. HMC Vectra is right tho. Draw a pic. I never when i changed the belt on my old Vec B 2.0 DTi and spent ages trying different ways!! Removing the wheel and archmakes it easier but i did it without but it is a squeeze.
