    Default Another new induction kit

    Arrived today




    Bit of a green theme going on, gonna fit it tomorrow, how easy does the air box come out on the V6?

    If it's anything like the other models, it's easy. Undo jubilee clip on top pipe, then pull airbox out, it's held in on rubber bungs. 2 minute job.

    Massive difference, as too much heat contaminating airflow can reduce power.

    if you dont know the answer to that statement - you shouldn't be messing with cone filters.

    you need to make sure you heat shield and improve the cold air feed.

    do you have the original cold feed that went to the oem air box?

    You wont see many of us with cone filters on mate. Ecotecs kick out some heat and your more likely to lose power TBH.

    Yeah will be keeping the original air feed in place and routing another in there as well. First time fitting a cone filter. Had a Dbilas flowmaster on my last vectra, used a thermometer fitted in the filter to check air temp. Ran about 1 0C above outside air temp, even though the filter housing would get hot after going for a drive. They're probably the best thing to fit for performance (sealed kits) I just want to hear a bit more from the engine.
