    Default New signum owner TCS 2.0T

    As a new signum owner the only gripe i really have is the TCS. I have been looking at all the other posts and thought ah just buy the switch easy or is it? i had a look in the dash and the only blank with a plug behind it is the one bellow the hazard warning switch and its white not blue. also i have the silly big cassette player 4 disk changer in dash system which is massive as this is my first Vauxhall i don't know where the switches should be or if the blue plug might be behind the cd player.

    i thought it would be nice to fit the twin exhaust valance on the rear bumper as the car has the twin exhaust but they have covered it up with the rubbish standard one went to the dealer expecting to pay a small island for it and its only £42 inc VAT get in!!!!!

    oh one other thing its a 2.0t and in between the gear changes it keeps the revs on as if its the remaining pressure from the turbo dissipates is this normal as this is my first turbo car!

    any advice will be appreciated

    I'm a woman so please forgive me but have heard it's a low compression turbo so it is constantly there unlike normal turbo cars. Welcome to the club, and nice car. I have the same!!

    thanks for that its just a pain trying to get a smooth 1st to 2nd with it. not so much a problem in 345n6th. was maybe going to try a aftermarket dump valve to see if that made any difference.

    I drive 200/300 miles a week in mine and don't seem to a problem but most is motorway driving with cruise on about 80mph. I have noticed it harder to drive around town but then I just thought that was me. The car at the moment is reading 32 mpg too so not stupid on fuel as some turbos can be.

    I wouldn't recomend it mate, as you turbo have a recirculating dump valve fitted as standard, and reading on this forum you lose power fitting a after market dump valve. Like Jemz said, it's a low pressure turbo so there's no lag so the turbo does kick in at low revs. it's something you'll get used to about the tc switch, the best way to find if it works is to buy the switch from VX and try it, on some cars it works, some it doesn't. And welcome to the site

    if you don't have the plug behind the blank then its a real pain to do.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Welcome to the site buddy. I am also a 2.0t owner. Do you have any pics of the car? Its the law round here you know! Lol. I find mine a bit awkward to drive round town too, 1st - 2nd does seem to be a bit jumpy for some reason. But other than that what a great car! Hope you enjoy.
