Default How to remove rear wiper arm

    Hi All

Just got my new vectra 2004 2.2dti yesterday, have bought a new rear wiper arm for it (The flat blade type), came to remove the old arm and it wouldnt budge, obviously wantin to be carefull coz of the rear window. tried WD-40, leaving it then tryin again,,, just wont budge.. Any other little tricks apart from buing one of those "puller" tools?

    Thanks
    Pete

With mine, I removed the nut, lifted the wiper to its "raised" position, and then gave it a good "wiggling" (technical VX term by the way) and off it came - after about 30 seconds.

i took mine off using a pair of mole grips, adjust it so they mole grips are under the nut and ontop of the wiper and just pop em shut and it pulls the wiper arm up cos its lik splined isnt it.. was really easy to do

VICTORIOUS!, managed to do it without cutting or snapping anything.. Funny thing was I was gettin nowhere with brute force, so I walked away for 5 minutes to calm down (lol) then came back and tried VERY gently and off it came! hehe. The new arm looks much better, a MUST mod for any vectra C owner! Will post some pics of my new car up soon

    Thanks for all your info
    Pete
