During an average day, how many bricks could a decent brick layer lay? Assuming a half decent labourer?
30 foot run exterior wall, just need a bricking rate, not block, ties or insulation. (But build rates for these would be useful separately though)
My boss is having an extension built and the bricky is charging £380 (plus VAT) per 1000 facing bricks laid.
He says that on a good day, he can lay around 500 bricks a day. That price includes the labourer.

I`m a brickie mate and about 500 a day is average,you are roughly talking around £350-£380 per/1000,although the way things are at the minute you might get it done cheaper.
I think he means 500 bricks!
I am also a brickie, 500 brick a day for quality work.750 for price work. 1000 a day footings. £380 per 1000 average price £120-£150 daywork. You might get cheaper at the moment though a lot of tradesmen out of work. Go down yer local boozer someone will do it as a backhander
