    Default The Tintern Tour...

Firstly, thanks to all that came especially those that had long drives!

All the photos I took can be found here: http://www.cig.canon-europe.com/albu...4&locale=en_GB if anybody wants full size, hi-res copies, drop me a pm with your email address and make a note of the picture/s names.

We had a bit of a dodgy start thanks to a boot sale going on behind the pub I chose for the meet -note to self: do more/better research next time- luckily everyone (except Capriman) turned up roughly the same time, so we swung around into the abbey's coach car park.

We had 7 Vectras and 1 Signum to start with:

As we were using the coach park, a bus load of Germans arrived and a couple took a particular liking to Pimm's GSi (hardly suprising-spanking motor).

Anyhow, we had to move on from there eventually as another coach arrived, so we moved to another hotel's car park, 2 cars had to leave us though so we were down to six Vetras:

Unfortunately this hotel was expecting 200 guests for dinner! So, after another chat and Pimm breaking his Head Unit...we headed off to find some lunch, leaving Ed and Larissa to do some shopping in the local antique shops, how's your wallet Ed? Four of us ended up just down the road for a quick pint and a spot of lunch. Just as we'd all finished eating, I spied Capriman rolling gently down the road, so he was duely flagged down in his nicy shiny white and black taxi...

The weather, whilst a bit cloudy held out nicely for us and I think we had a decent First Welsh Regional Meet (?) with a total of 9 cars attending and I hope to see you all again soon.

One of the highlights has got to be the very end when we were all pulling away, Pimm ROARED off in his GSi leaving 3 of us jaws dropped and looking at each other mouthing words to the effect of "Firk me that sounds rather tasty!"

Glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Wish I could have been there. I had a really quiet day at work today as well.
Look forward to the next one.

The whole area (the Wye Valley) is stunning mate, I shall be going back soon to have a play with the camera up there.

Got some nice individual shots of a few of the vecs too, couldn't post everything here there's about 30 altogether, hence the photo album linky thing lol.

Hi all we have just got back home at 8.50pm........ No we did not get lost but whilst we were in south wales we went for a drive a long the coast to Barry island then drove up through the middle of wales to hereford then on to Birmingham, I have 69 miles left from a full tank, averageing 32.9 mpg, which I thought was not to bad for a 3.2 V6.
I would also like to say thanks to all that attended it was a pleasure to meet you all, sorry that we missed Capriman, I wanted to say hello to him. My wallet had some plastic surgury done on it and Larisa got the giant vase she wanted. so she is happy, I will put my photos on the site when I get the chance, but now I am a little worn out.
I hope you all got home ok and I hope to meet you all again, it was a plesent meet and a nice day out, thankyou to you all.
Ps there are some nice photo,s there Nigel,
