Default Quick Fix on Sapphire Black...

Quick question, whats the best stuff to get to mask swirls/fine scratches on a Sapphire Black car (i.e. mine) - its going to get machine polished but not for a little while, just need something to tart it up for the coming weeks/meets

Any recommendations (links would be nice too)....

I've used SRP in the past. It can produce good results but you do have to work the polish in small areas. Won't be anywhere as good as a machine polish obviously.

I normally than apply a glaze (currently using Poorboys Black Hole). It then needs a wax on top.

So, could you use SRP, then the Poorboys then the EGP on top..??

I use AutoBalm which contains just fillers that work really well. (whereas SRP contains fillers and gloss etc...) Then i use Poorboys Black Hole glaze (which also helps mask any swirls) and top off with a coat of FK1000

Either of the 3 products above will reduce the swirls, poorboys black hole, SRP and autobalm. SwirlX is an abrasive so removes them which is best but not a quick process by hand.

The benefit of autobalm is its a single step, filling swirls and addeing protection. the other 2 you really need to add some protection over the top.

and a polished black sapphire car looks awesome I have one.

Conventional thinking is that a glaze followed by a Sealent means that you are not getting the best out of the glaze as the EGP might effect the glaze.

I'd just miss the glaze out or go glaze then a good wax. I'm now pretty much sold on Pete's Black Pearl for mine. It's the cheapest one I have too. But ATEOTD it's what works for you.
