Default F1 toys out of the pram

Would seem that a certain F1 team from Italy is throwing its toys out of the pram !! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/moto...ne/8044860.stm

A case of if we cannot win we will not play !!

Get real Ferrari !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,does it hurt that much Ross Brawn has a team that works at the moment ?

lol Let them leave. Sounds like a few new teams will be comming in next year.

I don't see whay they are worried about a 2 tier system. Isn't that what we had way back in the 70s or 80s with turbos Vs larger no turbo engines?

Let us not forget they are getting the biggest pay out from Bernie and His F1,so it will be more monies for the smaller teams.

Two rules can't work fairly though. Patrick Head made a very good point, for instance, those teams that are capped would be allowed a flap in the rear wing. This flap could be dropped for speed on the straight and put fully up for corners. So you could have the down force of Monaco and the speed of Monza all in one. The other teams that are not capped still have to follow the currant rules, no matter how much money they throw at it they will never be able to make up the gap. I'm no Ferrari supporter, far from it, but they have a point. you don't play a game of football with a different set of rules for both sides (well Chelsea might disagree LOL).

What we want is car and driver against car and driver fair and square. Let the best combination win simple as that.

In an article to day in one of the motor sport magazines,it states
"that there are leaked letters between Max Mosley [FIA] & Luca di Montezemolo [Ferrari] that in return for committing to the FIA championship untill 2012,in letters were signed 4 years ago, Ferrari will recieve financial inducements and an ability to veto any technical rule changes !! the former was well known but the latter suspected but un confirmed untill now,
This is the team that hounded Mclaren on charges of bringing the sport in dis repute [article 151c] after having done deals behind closed doors which add up a technical advantage over its competitors what is more direputable ? pressured untruth in the stewards office or clandestine commercial arrangements".
Article 151c outlaws all bribery or attempt indirectly or directly to bribe any person having official duties in relation to a competion.
I would say Ferrari have a lot to answer for.
my opinion on the capping all teams to run under the same set of rules, a capping would not harm, but one that is in agreement with all parties and not Max Mosley on his whim and say so.
