was playing about with my Vectra's computer today and noticed in the system settings there is "Ign Logic" which is on but can be turned off. Anyone know what this is and what difference having it on or off makes?
Thanks.

Is it not something to do with the CD/Radio system, and it staying on/off when the ignition is on/off ?
As above, it means when you turn on or off your ign,the stereo does the same
This Ign logic gets right on my wick!! hate the radio coming on with the ignition! When set to off though and you park up somewhere and turn the engine off the radio stays on!!! What's all that about??
oh good, I'll be turning it off then cause it annoys me too. Thought it might be something to do with the engine so didn't want to change it until I knew what it did. Cheers lads.
I though it would be a good idea until I parked up and the radio stayed on. I would say that's even more annoying TBH!!
One thing I did try is leaving ign logic ON and turning the switch on volume to the min level. The radio comes on with the ignition but you can barely hear it. Simples!!
Strictly speaking, Ignition logic setting simply determines that the radio/CD unit retains the same status as when the engine was last switched off. So if the unit was off when you last stopped the engine and removed the key, it will not come on when you start the ignition, if it was on then it will come on when you start the ignition. Changing the ignition logic to 'off' means that the CD/radio will not come on when you start the ignition, irrespective of its status when you last switched the engine off and removed the key.
