    Default smoke/dust coming from air vents

    when the fans are on a smoke or dust coming through air vents, with a wierd smell, checked what i can to make sure nothing trapped in intake. any other ideas?

    you say the heater is on ???
    maybe the heater matrix is beginning to burn out

    i had this with my old car, my pollen filter had got damp some how (probbly jetwashing the car), try changing the pollen filter, its only three quid from halfords i think. or just give your original one a night in the airing cubord then give it a spray with fabreaze or somthing like it.

    needs an aircon decontaminant to kill the bacteria in the vents / pipes

    vx will charge you 30 - 40 quid you just need a can from a local parts shop
    put your aircon on full recirculation at high speed - put the can in and leave for 10-15 minutes (dont stay in the car as the cannister is carconagenic to kill the fungus/bacteria) then open the windows and run normally for aonther 10 minutes - should clear the smell and this should be done every 2 years

    1, where is pollen fillter? is it under the wiper blade scuttle?
    2, how do you do the air con clean thing?

    my money is on the pollon filter m8, there is a flap by the bulk head on the passangers side under the bonnet....by where the wipers sit
