    Default Power Steering Fluid Top-up

My power steering has been playing around for a few days now, sometimes it's just dead. Suspect I just need to check and top-up the fluid.

Can anytone tell me what fluid to use? Halfords seem to do a GM6137M DII fluid for Vauxhalls - is this the right one, or is it for auto transmissions only?

Also - I believe the tank is in the drivers wheel arch. Numpty question, but does the wheel need to come off first?. Any tips on accessing appreciated.

you need to use the green stuff, its called central hydraulic fluid (CHF)

your pump sholud be under the drivers head light behind the bumper, so you will have to remove the bumper

Blinking bigger job then I expected . . . all to top up the fluid! CHF - sounds like something from Vx not something I can get today from Halfords!

you will be able to get it from halfords, it will be about £11 for a ltr, should take about 30 mins to do the job,

Think it can be done with a long funnel rather than remove the bumper to.
