Default This is going to hurt!

After giving the Veccy some love and buying some new wheels yesterday the engine light comes on again GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Had a poke about under the bonnet and there is soot at the front of the engine(blown gasket at a guess) not good!

Looked at inlet manifold and the bar that joins all those flaps together is just laying in the bottom FFS, and its due a service. I have never cleaned the EGR either so I best get doing that. It does 60mph now at best
Im so dissapointed as have only done 4000 miles in the car since I've owned it and its gone from being fun to a nightmare.
I'll borrow a scanner for the codes this week and post them up.

What are you guys using for lowering springs/shocks? I'd like it to be about 60mm lower.

I do everything myself on my car so where do I start with that little lot
    Thanks in advance

Same here m8 the bar at the top of the engine is sitting there doin nothing. Although the mechanic I took it to said leave it as all it is going to do is affect cold starting. The EGR valve is deffo your first port of call m8.

My personal choice was Pi 45mm/40mm lowering springs with Bilstein shocks, another choice is Eibach springs that lower 30mm,or if your feeling very flush the there's the Irmscher setup, here are a few websites.......

www,lmfvauxhall.co.uk for the eibachs spring and Bilstein shocks and

    http://www.pi-suspension.co.uk/tsear...ectra&x=22&y=9

    Hope that helps m8........

    BTW Nice looking motor.........
