    Default Rear fog lights

Just brought a face lift cdti elite hatch, and noticed that only the o/s/r fog light works, there is a bulb in the other side and I have tried swaping the bulbs from side to side but still no different.I've been reading on here that uk cars only have an o/s light.Has anyone got there n/s one working? Thanks in advance.

Is it just a case of running a wire from the live on the o/s over to the n/s?

Apart from cost cutting reasons, its also done for safety reasons as well.

If you've only got one rear fog light illuminated, then whoever is behind you will be able to see your brake lights more clearly when you stop/slow down.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS MOD

Think of everyone behind you and how their eyes will hurt, and maybe not see your brakes lights come on and then rear end you.

I hate rear fogs, as most people do NOT know how to use them properly.

Do you leave them on when there is someone behind you, or use them when visibility is more than about 100m???

If so, then you DON'T use them correctly.

I wonder how your insurance would be affected in the event of a rear end collision when you have them on, and the following driver not seeing your brake lights come on? Have you informed your insurer about this modification to exterior lighting?

Please read my post above, and for your and everyone elses safety, remove the link wire and revert back to the OE standard which is done for a reason and has EVIDENCE to back up why it is done that way.
