Before you set the alarm by key switch OFF the internal sensors by use of the switch next to the HU. This is something thats happening to my mates Omega and this stops it probably faulty internal sensors well its a start.

there should be a button next to HU with a little person on it iirc, its designed so if you have a dog in the car, you can still set alarm but disable internal sensor.

The sensors are right by the interior light. Yes, you have to press the button every time you exit the car when parking up.

Probably unlikely it's the sensors though. The common faults are a failing battery back up in the power sounder, if the car is an estate - then the break wires in the rear glass, and the bonnet pin switch can also be a common culprit as well.
