    Unhappy Help Help Clutch Gone At 49000 Is It Covered

    I Have A 04 Vectra, It Has 49000 On The Clock It Is A 2.0dti Is This Covered On The Warranty And If Not Do You Know How Much I Would Be Paying For The Repair. It All Started Last Night The Thrust Bearing Started Out Of The Blue Making A Clattering Noise Then Within Mins The Clutch Started Riding Please Help. The Car Is Booked Into The Main Stealer On Tues Please Give Me Some Advice Where I Stand With This Cheers To You All

    Hi, When I bought my vectra 2nd hand the gear box f***ed up driving it home! but it had warranty left so vx replaced it along with the clutch & preasure plate under warranty. Hope this helps.

    they may try to wriggle out under 'wear and tear' but that is no mileage at all for a clutch..if the release bearing went first hold out for a free fix as it's a non wearing item..2 years is no service life at all for a part like this..I'd go in with a 'look what you sold me '' attitude..

    Default its in on the 2nd

    ok i phoned them and they said if its the thrust bearing its covered. but if its the clutch plate thats classed as wear and tear load of s**t i think, so when i find out the out come i will let you all know incase this happens to anyone else. cheers lads

    Mate if you need a good garage to sort this I have one 40 mins from you.

    This is covered no problem. Just kick off, it gets sorted.

    I had a new clutch done without asking when they replaced the gearbox.

    Thought I hadnt seen you working this week dave get on the phone to vx customer services as has been suggested previously should be covered under warranty

    had 44k mile on mine when i got clutch and fly done eventually under warranty, keep hassling them dave
