this device has been around for a few years in one form or another, when 4 star petrol was stopped a fuel cat was launched that claimed you could run an old car on unleaded fuel without the need for lead additves, these similar units have claimed other benefits,a classic car mag did a test and found there was no difference at all to any of the manufactures claims

I am going to put up a sticky about all these magic fuel economy / power enhancers.

    THEY DON'T WORK !

If they did, then they would be fitted as standard to improve the 'official' fuel economy and power numbers.

The chemistry doesn't add up. One claim they have is to burn the fuel more efficiently and completely. That would imply that without them a lot of fuel isn't burnt during normal combustion - so why is the emissions test not picking up this collossal amount of unburnt hydrocarbon? - COS IT IS BURNING, that's why.

As the lambda feedback trims fuelling anyway, if you (let's just say) started injected less fuel in order to improve fuel economy, the lambda value reported by the sensor would command more fuel injected to return to lambda 1 - thus the device would have no benefit, and injecting less air on a petrol would make the 3 way cat not work properly, as there would be excess air.
The only way lambda value fuel trim wouldn't be used is if you are running open loop, ie full load. And why would you do that for a sustained period or be worried about fuel economy for these short periods of time? Even then, I really cannot see how magnets, filters, turbolators etc etc could have any effect, except in the thickness of your wallet.

Save your money and buy some more fuel with it.

I only get angry when people buy this sort of tosh and effectively waste their time and money on this peddled rubbish with totally unsubstantiated claims which turn out to be completely unfounded when put to any sort of rigorous testing.
